Children in Need of Assistance in Kitsap County
The Bremerton community is facing a foster care crisis. There are currently more than 400 children in the foster care system here in Kitsap County, and only 103 state licensed foster homes. Even worse, nearly 2,000 children in our area under the age of 18 are now part of the homeless population and living on the streets.
Something must be done to provide for these children, and our agency is launching a campaign to help ensure all the kids in our community have a place to call home.
Ambassadors for Kitsap County Youth
The Betty Skinner Insurance Agency is now a recognized #AgentsofChange Regional Ambassador for the Bremerton area, and our focus is on providing for children in the foster care system. We will be assisting in programs to organize and expand the existing foster care network and provide temporary or emergency housing to at-risk children. We will also be working ensure all young people in Kitsap County have access to healthy food, educational resources, and community mentorship from local leaders that will encourage them to complete their education.
With this many children to help, we can’t do this alone. We need you.
Be Part of the Campaign to Help Children
You can be part of this campaign by introducing us to your friends and family. When you invite your loved ones into the Betty Skinner Insurance Agency, we will gladly provide them with more information on this campaign as well as offer them a free insurance consultation. When they leave, we will make a contribution IN YOUR NAME to a local program or initiative that is working to improve outcomes for young people in our area.
We Need You!
This campaign gives you the chance to make a positive, meaningful impact in the lives of thousands of children in our area. We need your help, and so do they.
